Working in agriculture is for everyone. The following programs, often established by companies and organisations in agriculture, support the sector employing under-represented demographics and those with special challenges.
Autism and Agriculture
An initiative of SunPork Farms to employ autistic adults in specialist animal care roles.
Friendly Nation Initiative
A program run by the NFF and Migration Council of Australia which aims to connect farmers with refugees looking for work in agriculture.

Clontarf Foundation
A mentoring program for Indigenous male school students. Upon completion of the programme, graduates are helped to find employment.
Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association Real Jobs Program
Recruits, trains and places up to 30 young Indigenous people annually in pastoral industry jobs.
Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council Agricultural Training
Cherbourg Council encourages Aboriginal youth to attain experience and qualifications in agriculture while assisting with the running of the Council farm.
