The essential Farmsafe chemical safety checklist

Lock it up!

Remember to secure all chemical lids and always lock storage sheds.

Ute it… Don’t Boot it!

If picking up supplies, use a trailer or ute tray to transport chemicals in order to avoid spills or fumes inside the vehicle.

Old drums or left over chemicals?

Run your triple-rinsed agvet containers into one of drumMUSTER’s 800+ collection sites or register online for ChemClear to come and collect any unwanted chemicals.

Update your store manifest!

This is the first thing responders need in an emergency so make sure your site map and chemical list are updated and easily accessible. This is also a great opportunity to double check labelling and sort into unmistakable categories in your shed.

Protect yourself!

Always wear the appropriate protective gear such as gloves and goggles. Always wash your hands after handling chemicals and remove soiled clothing before entering your home.
