Regional food manufacturing the new gold rush

This week Regional Voices discusses new beginnings with Ian Henderson, CEO and Principal Vinegar Maker at Australian Vinegar. He talks about everything from the secret to attracting highly qualified staff, to regional business, to his experiments with pumpkin vinegar.

Ian Henderson runs a state of the art facility in regional Queensland and he believes there is plenty of opportunity for other food manufacturers to move their operations to the regions.

In fact, he says that regional food manufacture is the new gold rush.

They’re going to where it’s affordable to do business, as land is cheap, housing is cheap, and you can get quality people. If you build it they will come.

He spoke with Regional Voices about how he attracted scientists from across the country and his experiments with creating over 60 vinegars that are now in demand around the globe.
