Autumn is the perfect time for entertaining.
Impress your guests with these Middle Eastern-inspired lamb meatballs.
With less than 10 ingredients and no more than 30 minutes from go to whoa - nothing could be simpler!
- 500 g lamb mince
- 2 tbsp Middle Eastern spice mix
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 egg
- 35 g (1/3 cup) packaged breadcrumbs
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) olive oil
- Hummus and Toothpicks, to serve
Place all ingredients except the oil in a large bowl and season to taste. Using your hands mix to combine. Roll heaped tablespoons of lamb mixture into balls. Heat half of the oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook half of the balls, turning frequently, for 6½ minutes or until browned and cooked through. Drain on paper towel. Wipe out pan with kitchen paper and repeat with remaining oil and meatballs. Serve with hummus and toothpicks.
