Will you be driving on Census Night 2016?

Tuesday 9 August is Census Night and the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has provided information to assist drivers on the road on Census night.

Additionally the ABS will be sending field staff out on the road to specific rest stops to help drivers and answer any questions. Heavy Vehicle Services will be sending out a HVS update on 8 August 2016 to advise what rest stops they will be attending.

The Census is Australia’s largest statistical collection undertaken by the ABS. For more than 100 years, the Census has provided a snapshot of Australia, showing how our nation has changed over time, allowing us to plan for the future. It’s a moment for everyone to play a role in shaping the future of Australia.

Below is the ABS information provided for drivers on the road on Census Night.
