Cotton Gap program to connect school leavers and employers

Cotton Australia has launched the 2018 Cotton Gap program, and is seeking applications for potential cotton employers and employees.

The program is designed to connect school leavers planning on taking a gap year in 2018 with a job on an Australian cotton farm.

Possible locations range from Central Queensland to the NSW/Victorian border, where cotton is now grown. A map of where cotton is produced in Australia is available on Cotton Australia's website.

Info for cotton employers

By October 9, 2017, submit a job advertisement for your on-farm role you are seeking to fill as a PDF to Cotton Australia. For more information and to submit your on-farm job advertisement, click here.

Info for prospective employees/school leavers

Cotton Australia is also seeking expressions of interest from students and school-leavers interested in first-hand experience in one of Australia’s most innovative and forward-thinking agricultural industries.

If you know a student that may be interested in participating, encourage them to visit the Cotton Gap webpage where they will be able to find all of the relevant information.
