MLA bringing the ‘smell of unity’ in iconic Australia Day lamb ad

Meat & Livestock Australia have released their highly anticipated annual summer campaign calling for Australia and New Zealand to unite for a lamb BBQ.

The ad follows the story line that Australia has “lost the plot” addressing the cricketing cheating scandal, the frequent rotation of Prime Ministers and the date of Australia Day.

The politicians in the ad come to the the conclusion that “New Zealand is doing Australia better than Australia” and want to unite Australia as our first prime minister, Edmund Barton wanted.

The 2019 ad took a new approach with long-standing ‘Lambassador’ Sam Kekovich making a brief non-speaking cameo in the ad offering the kiwi’s a lamb chop.

MLA domestic market manager Graeme Yardy says MLA has become famous for settling differences and promoting unity.

“The good-humoured rivalry between Australia and New Zealand is something that underpins both countries cultures,” he says.
