Buy From the Bush looks to give rural businesses their ‘Big Break’

Calling all bush businesses (or those with a big idea begging to become a reality)!

The Buy From the Bush crew is giving hardworking rural businesses, owners, entrepreneurs – or even those with a great idea looking to take the next step – a chance to make their dreams a reality.

The Buy From the Bush Big Break Competition has now opened to anyone in the bush with an idea for a new business plan or to grow an existing one. All entrants have to do is pitch their plans in a video to go in the running to win a number of prizes to help kick-start what could be the next big bush business. That could be a new product, a service, a growth plan, a key-hire or something else. 

Here’s what BFTB are looking for:

• An engaging, informative pitch that tells the story of you/your idea/your potential
• A business idea that will deliver a positive impact to your local community
• A great idea with commercial appeal

Prizes

1st Prize Winner will receive:

• $30,000 to help take their idea to the next level thanks to the legends at PayPal Australia
• Free subscription to the Buy From The Bush marketplace for 1 Year
• Become a Member of the BFTB Bush Business Club on Facebook;
• PR Package from the Regional PR Co
• Start Lab Subscription to online course and mentoring (Value $899) plus 6x 1 hour consults ($660);
• Social media branding or social media workshop with Edelman

Runner up will receive:

• $15,000 thanks to PayPal Australia
• Free subscription to the Buy From The Bush marketplace for 1 Year
• Membership in the BFTB Bush Business Club on Facebook;

People’s Choice Winner will receive:

• $15,000 thanks to the legends at PayPal Australia
• Free subscription to the Buy From The Bush marketplace for 1 Year

How to enter:

1. Ensure you have read the Hot Tips, FAQs and Terms & Conditions

2. Record a 2-3 minute pitch video on your mobile phone telling why your business idea deserves to win the BFTB Big Break

3. Post an Instagram reel (15 seconds) to your Instagram grid that tells us the story of your pitch idea, tag @buyfromthebush, @paypalau and use the hashtags #buyfromthebush #BFTBbigbreak, #BFTBxPayPal. If you do not have access to Instagram you can post a 15 second video to your Facebook page and tag @buyfromthebush @paypalau. Include the link in the form below.

4. Complete the entry form below and include a link to your pitch video and reel/Facebook video (see FAQs)
