To alleviate the process, Cotton Australia has created a new online service to showcase the many careers available in the industry. Through Cotton Jobs Australia, prospective employees can peruse an interactive online map of the country, pin-pointing the exact location a job is available, along with any relevant information.

From there, it gives the ability to view the job description, and apply directly, making the application extremely streamlined by connecting grower to employee, directly.

Cotton Australia CEO Adam Kay said the new careers website will supplement growers through the busy season ahead.

Working on an Australian cotton farm is highly rewarding – with most growers paying above-Award rates and offering interesting roles with great conditions.

With the season forecasting a cotton crop in excess of 4.5 million bales, there’s never been a better (nor busier) time to be a part of producing sustainable, high-quality fibre.

The website has also provided relief to cotton growers such as Rowena-based, Bernie Bierhoff.

“I am excited to have this fresh opportunity to recruit for the exciting positions I have available on my farm. The Cotton Jobs Australia webpage is easy to use, it doesn’t take long to upload a job ad, and it’s a simple process to apply for a role,” Mr Bierhoff said.
